Middle Tennessee State University

Founded in 1911, MTSU has five basic undergraduate schools: Basic and Applied Sciences, Business, Communications, Education, and Liberal Arts. With an enrollment of more than 17,000 students, MTSU offers 143 degree programs and a graduate college, and is the second largest state university in Tennessee. The Tennessee Livestock Center is the site for many state and regional livestock shows and sales. The center is also home to the International Walking Horse Show each August. Murphy Center has accommodations for up to 12,000 persons for sporting events, concerts, convocations, antique, and home shows.
